Is the program supervised? Yes. The program is held indoors at the Jessie Davis Park Community Center in a structured, supervised environment. Sessions are led by a primary facilitator with the support of an assistant to ensure appropriate supervision at all times. This is a drop-off program, and attendance, sign-in, and sign-out procedures are followed each week.

What age group is this program best suited for? Get It, Girl! is designed for girls ages 13-17. Activities and discussions are age-appropriate, and some topics may be approached in small groups to ensure comfort, relevance, and meaningful participation for different maturity levels.

What exactly will my daughter be learning each week? Participants will learn practical life skills and self-empowerment tools, including: Personal hygiene and self-care, Confidence and self-esteem building, Self-awareness and emotional intelligence, Healthy communication and relationships, Boundary setting and decision-making, Financial literacy basics, Goal setting and leadership skills. Lessons are interactive and include discussions, activities, journaling, and real-life scenarios.

What is included in the program fee? *32 hours of guided instruction over 8 weeks (Fridays only); Curriculum materials, worksheets, and activities; Journals and reflection tools; Snacks at each session; A supervised structured learning environment; Small-group facilitation for individualized attention. There are no additional required fees once enrolled.

What should my daughter bring each week? A positive attitude, capacity and willingness to participate; Comfortable clothing (nothing inappropriate or overly revealing); A water bottle. All learning materials and snacks are provided.

What if my child is shy or unsure about participating? Many girls begin the program feeling shy - and that's completely okay. The environment is inteentionally supportive, respectful, and encouraging. Participation is never forced, and girls are allowed to engage at their own pace. One of the program's goals is to help participants build confidence and feel comfortable expressing theselves over time.

What is the refund policy? A full refund will be issued if cancellation is requested at least 48 hours before the start of the program (prior to the first session on June 5, 2026). Due to advance planning, staffing, an material costs: No refunds wwill be issued once the program has begun, including for missed sessions, late arrivals, or early withdrawals. Refunds will not be provided for schedulling conflicts, vacations, or changes in availability after the program start date. Program fees are non-transferrable to another participant. In the unlikely event that the program must be canceled by the organizer, families will receive a full refund or prorated refund, depending on the circumstances.

What is expected for attendance and participation? Consistent attendance is encouraged to ensure participants receive the full benefit of the program. Missed sessions cannot be made up or refunded.

What if my daughter is not a "good fit" for the program? The program reserves the right to dismiss a participant for behavior that compromises the safety or learning environment of others. In such cases, refunds will not be issued.

What happens in cases of emergency? Serious emergencies may be reviewed on a case-by-case basis at the discretion of the Program Facilitator.
